Attractions

Water park

The seasonal amusement park offers thrill rides, family rides, waves, waterslides, and much more. It is also home to an aquatic park, where the kids can enjoy the waves and splash into the waves. This is the perfect place for the whole family to have a great time.

The water park at Kentucky Kingdom opens on Memorial Day and runs through August 15. It’s open everyday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. Season passes are available online and at the park.

Kentucky Kingdom has recently updated their Play Safe guidelines for the year 2021. Guests who have been vaccinated do not need to wear face coverings, but those who have not had their shots should do so. However, face coverings are not permitted in the water park. In order to prevent disease spread, the park has installed more than 100 handwashing stations around the park. In addition, there are masks for those who need them.

Restaurants

The former Six Flags theme park, Kentucky Kingdom, is now a locally owned theme park adjacent to the Expo Center. Kids may find the low-flying UPS jets a bit unnerving, and there aren’t many nearby dining options. The closest place to eat is Arby’s. It’s best to stay away from the Horsey Sauce.

If you have an adventurous streak, try the Swampwater Jack Cafe, located near Hurricane Bay. Located inside the Kentucky Kingdom, the Swampwater Jack Cafe has an indoor and outdoor seating area. Its name is inspired by the only alligator in the park, and the restaurant serves classic burgers, fresh salads, and chicken tenders. It also has a kid’s menu and offers a unique pudding parfait dessert.

Visiting
